Soba lunch.

I cooked soba,or buckwheat noodle for lunch. Soba is made from buckwheat flour. It's a byword for a healthy Japanese dish with low calorie, and it's easy to cook! All you need to do is to boil the buck wheat noodle and prepare "soba-tsuyu"(soba sauce).
How to eat? It's also very simple. Put some sliced green onions and grated Japanese horse radish into the soba sauce as you like, then dip soba into it with chopsticks. That's it!

It was so good!

  1. This is one of my 'go-to' dishes, only I use semolina pasta rather than soba. I've never cared for the taste of buckwheat, in noodles or pancakes.

Thank you so much for your comment. I really like plain simple dishes like Sushi or Sashimi because you can appreciate the taste of the ingredients better in that way. I'm also a big fun of pasta, though. LOL I guess Soba maybe the only dish which is made from buckwheat,so no wonder you've never cared its taste.

I agree with you in that simplicity is good!

And I think that's where Japanese dish's essence lies in.
