A Flood of Bikes!

This is a parking lot for bikes near Fukushima Station East Exit. This lot is called "Nikai" among local young people. "Nikai" means "the second floor" in Japanese. Why is it called so? It's simply because it is situated on the second floor of this parking lot. The first story is for cars. Japanese cities are basically very manageable,so you can do without cars unlike the US or Australia.

  1. I beg to differ on that little comment about Australian cities not being manageable without a car! I know a city like L.A. has poor public transportation but Melbourne is pretty damn good! Trains, trams and buses in the inner city and outer suburbs.

Thank you so much for you comments!
I didn't know your hometown had such a nice public transportation system. In my head, cities in Australia are spread out so much that you can't do anything without cars. After reading your comment, I changed my perception. Thank you!
